I need the carpet removed from the master bedroom (10'7" x 16'5"), the walk-in-closet (4"10" x 7'3"), and the second bedroom (9'10" x 12'2"). A new subfloor has to be installed. Then a good quality laminate floor is to be installed.
I also require the whole apartment (1512 square feet, 2 bedroom & 2 bathrooms) to be painted including the ceiling.
Building management requires a copy of the contractor's license and of his insurance policy.
Building Management will only accept the subfloor indicated above and requires a sample to be provided with our request for approval of the renovations from the board.

Options :
1) buck off the skylight soffit to the wall edge of the skylight (where the area was cut out) and install new gutters on both sides of the house.
2) recover the skylight portion and install new gutters on both sides of the house.
3) redo all aluminum in the skylight and provide a gutter system that allows for water runoff on both sides of the skylight opening (currently there is only a gutter system on the outside portion of the roof overhang but not at the inside edge of the skylight). Install a new gutter on the other side of the roof as well as it is currently non-existent.

Replace two corner gardens in the backyard with sod. Will require digging up the current soil and some disposal in order to level with current grass. Guessing about 75-100 sq feet maximum.

We live in a 2-bedroom cottage. We have a chimney attached to the side of the home with damaged bricks. Water usually runs down the roof along the side of the chimney and over the winter with freeze and thaw cycle, the brick along the side of the chimney has become badly damaged.
We would like to get an opinion regarding the type of work would be best. Our intention is to tear down the chimney so that we can gain some room along the side of our home in order to extend our driveway because right now, the chimney is preventing us from extending the driveway. We would like to know if it is possible to tear down the chimney without compromising the structure of the home. If this is possible, then we would need someone to tear down the chimney, repair the outside wall of the home and fix/extend the roof. I am not sure what the cost is for this would be. If it's not possible to tear down the chimney, then we would require someone to fix the brick on the chimney and install something on the roof to re-direct water elsewhere so that we don't have this happen once again.

I want to build a small deck over uneven concrete outside my patio doors. I live in a semi-basement unit of a triplex. There is an enclosure that has been built around the portion where will stand the small deck. It was made to partition my section from the rest of the backyard that belongs to the tenant upstairs.
My section is about 12-15ft wide and goes out about 3-4ft. We are looking at around 60sqft maximum. Since my unit used to be a garage, the ground slopes and there's a drain there. I'm hoping there's a way to have a deck built above it without covering the drain and allowing enough air circulation so that there's minimum moisture build-up.

As a co-owner of a triplex, my neighbor and I live on the top floors, and over the past year, we have had water infiltration coming in from the roof (which has since been fixed).
My neighbor:
- cracks in a few areas in the condo (on the ceiling), resulting in a slow leak during rain
- water dripping in from the window frame of the front windows
My unit:
- water dripping in from the window frame of the front windows
- large leak in the wall separating the hallway from the bathroom, resulting in large bubbles in the paint and sagging along the wall and the ceiling. Leaking within the pocket door frame.
We would like an expert to come in to determine the cause of the issue and to repair/replace all parts necessary in both units.
OPTIONAL: My unit also needs 2 pendant lights to be changed (in the staircase it would require a tall ladder. Someone who could also do this would be appreciated, but not required.
